Spaghetti Pizza


3 cups cooked spaghetti (about 6 ounces pre cooked. Left over spaghetti can be used!)

2 tbs butter

½ cup grated parmesan cheese

2 large eggs, beaten

1 cup cottage cheese

1 lb ground beef, turkey or sausage (your choice)

½ cup chopped onion

¼ cup chopped green or red (or mixture) pepper

1   8 ounce can diced tomatoes

1   6 ounce can tomato paste

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp dried oregano

½ tsp garlic salt (can add fresh garlic too, if you like! We love garlic)

½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

My family likes to add mushrooms, black olives, pepperoni, etc.  Be creative!


Cook the spaghetti and drain. Stir in butter and mix well.  Add parmesan cheese and eggs. Form spaghetti mixture into a crust in a pie plate or baking dish sprayed with PAM.  Spread cottage cheese over ‘crust’.

In a skillet, cook your chosen meat, onion and peppers until meat is cooked and vegetables are tender.  Drain off any excess fat!  Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano and garlic salt.  Heat until all ingredients are hot.

Pour meat mixture over spaghetti crust and bake uncovered for 20 minutes at 350°.  Top with cheese and cook about 5 minutes longer or until the cheese is melted.
