Pecan Pie

1 cup white Karo Syrup
3 slightly beaten eggs
2 tbs butter
1/8th tsp salt
¾ cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup pecans
Cream butter with sugar and add other ingredients, adding 1 cup of pecans last.
Pour into an unbaked pie shell and bake at 375° for 10 minutes then reduce heat to 350° for approximately 35 minutes. Test for doneness by inserting a knife in the center of pie. When it comes out clean, the pie is done. Serve with a dollop of homemade whipped cream made with Dairy Maid Dairy Heavy Cream!
