Mama’s Bread Pudding

10 slices white bread torn into pieces. (Stale bread is fine)

¼ cup melted butter

1 tsp ground cinnamon

½ cup raisins (regular or golden)

6 large eggs

3 cups hot Diary Maid Dairy White Milk

2 tsps Vanilla Extract

¾ cup white sugar

½ tsp salt

Pinch of nutmeg for top


Heat oven to 375°.

Mix bread pieces, butter, raisins and cinnamon well and put into a 2 quart baking dish.

Beat eggs slightly and add sugar, vanilla and salt.  Mix until sugar has dissolved.  Add hot Dairy Maid Dairy Milk and beat well.  Pour over bread mixture and allow to sit for 5 -10 minutes until moisture is absorbed.  Sprinkle with nutmeg and bake for 25 minutes.

Top with homemade whipped cream made from Dairy Maid Dairy Heavy Whipping Cream and serve warm!
