Hot Mulled Cider


1/2 cup brown sugar

2 quarts Apple Cider

1 tsp whole allspice

1 1/2 tsp whole cloves

2 cinnamon sticks

2 oranges sliced but with peels left on


Combine brown sugar and cider in slow cooker.   Put all spices in a tea strainer or in a cheesecloth pouch. Add to slow cooker.  Stir in orange slices.

Cover and simmer on low for 2 to 3 hours.  Serve hot!
