‘Brown Butter’ Beans

4 cups of green beans trimmed

4 tbs unsalted butter

2 tsp minced garlic

1 tbs lemon  juice

salt and pepper to taste

 

Cook beans in large saute pan in boiling salted water for four minutes.  Drain and set aside.  Wipe out pain.

Melt butter in pain over medium heat until a light brown.  Watch closely, now!  Takes less than 2 minutes.

Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

Deglaze pan with lemon juice and remove from heat.  Add green beans back to pan. Toss to coat and season with salt and pepper.
