Red Hot Frito Pie

 

1 large onion, coarsely chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

3 lbs ground hamburger or turkey

3 tbs ground red hot chili peppers

2 tbs ground mild red chili peppers

1 ½ cup water

Fritos or other corn chips

Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese

Shredded Cheddar Cheese

 

Combine onion, meat, garlic, chilies and water in a slow cooker.  Cover and cook on low for 8 – 10 hours.  Drain and serve over Fritos or other nacho type chips.  Top with cheeses and serve immediately.
